Absorptive Capacity

The ability to keep performing well when workload and pressure rise.

When strong: People stay accurate and compliant under pressure, problems are flagged early, and peaks in demand are handled without a rise in errors.

When weak: Pressure turns into mistakes, missed steps and compliance or regulatory breaches, particularly during incidents and periods of peak demand.
